Are we heading for a second lockdown, and what are the new UK rules?
Boris Johnson has increased restrictions as cases begin to surge, prompting fears of a second wave
It is again another massive stressor
My view on this whole thing Bigbum, is that it should only be a stressful subject if you put yourself at unnecessary risk.
If you do everything that your common sense tells you you need to do to protect yourself - you will be safe.
By keeping yourself safe you indirectly protect others.
This governments guidelines have been unsatisfactory in the extreme - don't listen to them too much - their information is just confusing and designed to confuse!
See through the bulls*** and you will be safe. Take care.
"cases" have increased.
What the fuck does that even mean? No one is dying from this. I really don't see what the fuss is about. And no one has managed to explain it coherently and convincingly in the last 6 months.
Corona virus can suck my balls.
You're right BigBum, we do have to keep going - but, we're good at that if nothing else!
There is a hidden (but not so well hidden.......) 'herd immunity' strategy going on - designed to get people infected - which is wholly despicable on the part of our government - the same government who blusters on and ignores everyone's pleas to not defy international law and ruin 'Our reputation'- Keep doing what you're already doing - wash / sanitise, distance with no unnecessary risks and cover up and you will be fine.
You've been safe all this time so far, therefore you're already doing the right things.......don't listen to the scaremongering.
Cases-have-increased, means what it says.
The past week the amount of people testing positive for SCV2 have increased....quite considerably.
The good news is that fewer people who have the disease are dying. The death-rate among the 21-65 age group has always been low. The death-rate in the 65 and up group is dropping quite rapidly.
Although I noted that the official govt site stopped displaying the data on hospital admissions on the 9th of this month. But then, the data on admissions on the 8th was 30% lower than on the 9th!
Are the number of cases increasing beacause the testing is getting 'better' (for want of a more accurate phrase)?
More tests conducted = more data available.
But, as we are seeing......the statistics aren't telling us what we'd expect to see. More cases should mean more deaths....but that's not happening.
By the way Jomu.........what has the Certification of Small Commercial Vessels got to do with Corona Virus?
The death rate will be zero, cos no one is dying of it. More people die with the flu.
More people die from hunger for fucks sake. Let's not spend 500 billion on Corona virus and let's spend it on feeding people who die of starvation.
"I think cases are rising amongst the young ones who won't be told and the older generation takes more care , therefore the death rates won't particularly get higher unless you mix with the young uns
Oh yes I agree with your comments
It is very worrying indeed for us all "
" There is a hidden (but not so well hidden.......) 'herd immunity' strategy going on - designed to get people infected - "
Is that not how vaccines work though? Introducing the threat to the body in order to develop the immune system further to fight future infections? Granted with a vaccine it isn't the whole threat only part of it but it still counts as the infection. The same with the flu jab, a large quantity of the population who receive the current vaccine feel I'll afterwards as the body fights it. The biggest issue with the current Covid is existing health issues, although even completely unrelated deaths have been recorded as Covid if the person has tested positive...even a death in an accident can be recorded as Covid just because the person had it at time of death!
The other potential problem we'll face is the fact everything is being disinfected and cleaned thoroughly, without any germs around our bodies immunity is going to get lower over time and things that wouldn't affect us will start to make a difference now...
Do we even have a first in command at the moment?
Anyway, I'm just here for the pussy.
So, just so you know, I'm having 29 people round my gaff for a naked hottub grouse shooting party. I've got a shotgun incase any grouse do come down my street. Should be good. Who's in?
"And Johnny popping Your Cork is your Specialty
Be proud of it Sweetie and unlike Shirley Bassey, I do pop my cork for every girl I see.
Once you Pop you just can`t Stop
Especially if it's your clogs !"
Johnny can pop my Cork anytime but hope he could handle the over flow of bubbles..lol
And back to this thread's title:
new Covid-19 lockdown measures for England, including face masks for customers in indoor hospitality, a 10pm curfew for pubs, bars and restaurants, and restrictions for sport and weddings
And for the next 6 months too
"What a load of bollocks all of it is. A complete storm in a tea cup. "
It's still a new disease. They don't properly know what it does yet.
It's not a killer but... if you get it and don't die, there's a good chance that it will add about 25-30 years to your lungs. If you're only 20 that's not so bad, having the lungs of a 50 year old, but I'm not keen on adding 30 years to mine - their not exactly up to athletics now.
