Apparently there are hundreds of different dialect names for wood lice. Where I come from they are called wood lice. What do you call them?

I'm from Seattle, we called them potato bugs, or tater bugs if feeling rural. In reaction to that, a bowl-back mandolin is sometimes called a tater bug, just to be totally irrelevant.

I've also heard tumble bugs.

Interesting, their names seem to mention cheese or pigs

Welsh name for a Badger?

Moch Ddear.

Literal translation being Earth Pig.

Y'all love my Welsh words, don't you?
