Do you think the mega rich footballers should dig in to help save the game that has given them so much ? The same with other sports

No. It's not the responsibility of the elite footballers or sportsmen.

I'm better paid than most people in my company. Should I chip in to help them out? Or should I still pay my own mortgage and bills instead?

It's all about peacocking on here, isn't it? If you haven't got the face, or the feathers, you need to accentuate the positives!

Would you take a pay cut though if the alternative was no job ?

We might have to cross that bridge when we come to it. I woukd take a cut if it protected other people's jobs, yes.

Footballers wages are in most cases in line with broadcasting income. If the broadcasting income reduces, so too will players wages. The Premier league will be fine. Its clubs in league 2, the national leagues and lower that will suffer most, as they rely on gate money.

Well, this is a question that applies to more than just football.

It's capitalism vs socialism isn't it?

If it wasn't for all the poor people working for me I wouldn't be able to cream so much money out of my company so yes I want to help the poor people who work so hard so I can enjoy life!

Atm I cannot fly to any of my oversea properties We soend about £140k a year as a family on flights so assuming this goes in for 3-4 months I am more than happy to be seen putting a 50-60k fund of, "my own money." into a pot for my staff as a thank you bonus. It means they pay the tax not me so win-win.

You have to help the little people we dont gwt rich on our own we need the soldiers ubless you want to do the crappy stuff yourself!!

Well Done Brighton - rewarding local medics with tickets for matches for after the virus quarantine is over (next season?)

Just a publicity stunt.

There’s no doubt that many very fine gestures might harbour an element of publicity seeking but does it matter? The recipients of the gesture still gain. Why look for something bad in anything good.

Thankfully COVID 19 cant discriminate between rich or poor. I don`t want to be the richest in the grave.

Covid 19 doesn't discriminate, but the people in charge of testing are obviously doing that. Rich footballers have been tested. Harvey Weinstein has been tested. Price Charles has been tested.

The old dears around my way have not been tested yet. It is fucking disgusting.

Anyone can pay to be tested. I think it’s around £300 to £400 which may seem worthwhile to many.

I’m not a rich person but I paid a similar amount for a private mri scan. When you are considering your health it’s money well spent .. about the price of a cheap carpet.

Which will tell you if you are/have-been infected, but will not do anything for your personal health. There is, as yet, no effective treatment for those afflicted.

As of mid-day today, the local hospital has 12 patients under care infected with SARS-CoV-2. If the curve of infection follows Italy, it will be 30 by Sunday. It should then increase to 100+ in 14 days. Then it will probably decrease.

Within the hospital swab tests are taking 3-6 days for the results and 25% failure rate. If you show symptoms ie fever, cough presume you have it.

If I was one of Prince Charles staff I would want to know he had it so I could some more toilet roll in.

4-days into the govt recommended 12 week self-isolation.

Total boredom.

Only bright spot, both the car and motorcycle MOT tests (June and May) can now cease to be a worry, with the current MOT extended by six months on each. Whew.

As a sign of the increasing preparation, London is opening a 4000 bed field hospital, with more in planning.
