Yes, the site does hang loading pages quite a bit now. Much much more than it used to.

Definitely running at some 30 to 50% slower than it was a week or so ago.

We are on cable so it's not us....

Thought it was my geriatric pc! Has crashed a few times recently and not allowed me to log out, although I appreciate this has been very late night/early morning, but I've appeared to be on site when actually not, which has resulted in (1) a huge amount of mail from peeps thinking I was here when not, and (2) a few getting cheesed off that I did not reply. Also a bit damgerous to those with families in the house in that they could get onto site without names/passwords. How about you autoatically log us out if site crashes?

I personally like to stay logged in as it saves me entering passwords on all these different sites everytime..

Is worse than ever today, and the link from Bling is different, I used to be able to straight to login. I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping it's sorted asap. Having real problems responding to mails and I really try to respond to every one within a few hours.

Microsoft wanted to update my system to Vista Service Pack 2 yesterday.

Since then, the site has run much slower.

Especially noticeable when using Messenger at the same time.

Any other Vista users noticed the same thing?

Cheryl, its probably due to the security updates, i think its not just exclusive to the Vista users, i am running Windows XP Pro and updated mine last week, since then its been slow as hell. The security update cross references data coming through the likes of MSN and other IM systems so it takes a little longer to process, pain in the bum if you ask me.

We haven't updated ours and yesterday it was like treacle in winter at times. Other sites were running at normal speed at the time.

Oh the last time we did an update on vista it was like treacle ....so we did a restore to the day before and it cleared it. So it must have been the update that day.

We often try to logon when we get up for work at 4.30 and just get error messages. This normally goes on until about 5.10.

I have noticed a slight improvement in the last couple of weeks but only slight with the site generally being slow.

Batman617, I see where you are coming from though I never update Windows (curr XP64 bit of a monster) and my XP32 sitting on the other drive both of which experience slow-downs so no, I wouldn't attribute this to Windows - this time

To speed up page load times etc, I'd recommend using Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. Its a smoother slicker interface, and only uses half the resources - ideal if your machine is older, or generally slow.

I just do a disc clean up every couple of days. Had been suffering multi-crashes for ages before being advised to do so. Has worked wonders! xxx

@ atom_finder Chrome is easy to install - just type google chrome into a search engine and follow the download link. It will import your bookmarks etc from IE or Firefox.

Hi,

We've both noitced a dramatic increase in page load times everywhere except the chatroom.

We've tried from both our computers with the same result, and other sites are loading just fine.

Not sure what the problem is, but it's definately at the 'site end'.

Hope this is of some help x
